Just another data point:

Went on a long ride yesterday on a typical Houston day, 95 deg., moderate humidity (70%). I have a new bike (1400 miles). I got it last fall and I have not experienced any significant changes in character. I don't know if the dealer/factory adjustments are any different for different regions. My bike is still fully stock, I have made no carb. changes yet.

Anyway since it is 'always' humid here and some would consider 'always hot' (my bike starts quicker in hotter weather) the point that I was trying to get to is that maybe what you are experiencing is due to 'rapid changes' in weather.

Also, I always run with super unleaded (93 octane).

go figure
